How we use your data.

The updated policies clearly outline the types of data we collect from your activity, and how we use that information to enhance your YouVersion experience.

We do not share your personally identifiable data with any third-party advertisers or ad networks. In fact, did you know that YouVersion is a non-profit ministry? Because our focus is missional, we don't monetize, sell data, or place ads inside of YouVersion products.

Your privacy protected.

When you see amazing global stats about Bible engagement (320 million installs and counting, or even the most popular verse of the year), we make sure to analyze the data in a way that protects your privacy.

When this information is published, it is only in an aggregated form that does not disclose your personally identifiable information. In addition, we implement industry standard security safeguards designed to protect your data.

It's your experience.

Our new policies make it clear what rights you have when using YouVersion, including accessing, sharing, changing, and deleting your personal data. We also address data collection technologies and how those processes help the YouVersion Community fully engage with the Bible.

Our new Privacy Policy and Terms take effect on May 25, 2018. By using our platforms and services on or after that date, you'll be agreeing to these updates.

Thank you for your continued trust in YouVersion as we work to provide you with free digital Bible experiences to encourage and help you encounter God's Word daily.
