Create a Bible community with your friends

Sharing the Bible with friends every day is a beautiful thing. It's how Scripture was first experienced thousands of years ago—within community. We developed Bible App 5 to help you bring your closest friends into your journey with God through the Bible.

Millions of us are already getting a lot out of using the Bible App on our own, but since sharing it with friends is new, we thought we'd share a few tips we're learning.

Make the most of your friendships in Bible App 5

See Verses Anew

Sometimes it's like you're seeing a verse for the first time, no matter how many times you've read it before. When you see the passage a friend is highlighting, bookmarking, or noting, it can stand out in a new way. It might be the version they're using or maybe just the right timing, but being able to get a fresh perspective on Scripture is a gift that comes from sharing it with your friends.

Remember What You Learn

A lot can happen in a day. That verse you read in the morning might be hard to call to mind hours later. But when you see a friend comment or like a verse you bookmarked, it's a chance to open it again and revisit the meaning. When the Bible becomes part of your daily interaction with friends, it can help you refocus on how God is speaking to you.

Do a Plan Together

Talk with some friends and choose a Bible Plan together. Start on the same day and see how you can bring additional insights to each other along the way. Read each day's content, bookmark Scripture that speaks to you, and share notes. With over 800 available Plans, you're sure to find one you're all excited about.

Here are a few Plans to get you started:

Ask for Prayer

Worried about something? Big day ahead? In the middle of a tough season? Open up to your close friends and ask for prayer. You can do it right in the app: Write a new note, set the status to "Friends," and ask them to pray for you. When your friends see your note, they can pray for you and comment to give encouragement. The best part? You can return the favor! It's a daily opportunity to "pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed..."

Get Connected Today

If you haven't already, we encourage you to connect with your close friends in the Bible App. You can do this by asking them if they have the newest version of the Bible App on their smartphone or tablet, by sharing on social media, or spreading the word in your community.
