Preparing with Lent

Christians all over the world observe Lent as a purposeful time to prepare their hearts for Easter. YouVersion offers several Reading Plans specifically designed to help you make the most of this season of thoughtful reflection, including Devotions for Lent from the Holy Bible: Mosaic by Tyndale, and Lent for Everyone by renowned biblical scholar N.T. Wright. Check our blog for more Lent Reading Plans, or search Plans in the Bible App™ under Devotionals.

Developing a Bible Reading Habit

In January, we announced the 21-Day Challenge on the YouVersion blog, which ran from February 1–21. Next week, we'll announce the winners of the Apple iPad 2 and the Amazon Kindle Fire on the YouVersion blog! Also, everyone who completed 21 consecutive days of a Reading Plan during the Challenge will receive a special badge on their YouVersion profile. Then, in the days that follow, we'll be sharing several tips and tricks on our blog that can help you stick with your daily Bible reading.

Verse of the Day on @Daily_Bible

YouVersion is now posting a Verse of the Day on Twitter. Be sure to follow @Daily_Bible to enjoy a Bible verse on Twitter every day. Retweets are an easy way to share the Bible with your followers and encourage your friends with God's Word.

Featured Reading Plan: Popular, Easy Access Devotional

We all know it's important to spend time with God's Word each day, but during busy seasons in our lives, it can be hard to maintain that everyday connection. What if—in just one minute each day—you could engage deeply with God's Word and discover truths you could reflect on all day? That's exactly what Right from the Heart's 1-Minute Devotions Reading Plan is designed to do. Try this 230-day plan, and receive daily encouragement in your relationship with Christ.

Did You Know?

When you add a Note in the Bible App, you can link it to more than one verse. This convenient feature lets you comment on an entire passage, rather than just one verse at a time. You can even use Notes to "chain" together related verses or passages from different parts of the Bible. To learn how Notes work in the Bible App on your device, visit YouVersion's support website. Select your preferred language at the bottom of the page, then your device type at the left. Then look under "Notes, Bookmarks & Highlights" and click on "How do I create a note?"
